Spiciest Food of Japan!
Food challenges too much for you? How about something spicy then? ;)
Level 10 Spicy Curry at Coco ichibanya
|
I found this one especially fun since its a huge chain and they have locations global wide with their menu even in 10 different languages in the restaurant!
So basically they have a 'customize' your own plate option and the spice level goes up to lv10!!! I've heard people the highest they can do is lv5 and lv7 KILLS them so I came to try it out!! Keep in mind I am a bit of a spice head myself...so will this spicy be able to pack a kick for me? |
Level 10 Spicy Ramen at Ichiran 24/7 ramen shop
|
Another popular chain in Japan and also worldwide! IN fact they opened up a store in New York recently and it was HYPE!!
What really sets this place apart is the experience of dining; you get your own cubicle, get a ticket for the ramen you want and come to the booth to customize your order! And of course there is a spice level option with 10 being the spiciest....would you be down to try?! |
THE SPICIEST RAMEN(Devil LEvel) IN JAPAN!! at Karashi Kikambo
|
After searching you Youtube for the spiciest Ramen in Japan, this shop was the first result!!
When I came to visit it, not only was it known to have the spiciest ramen but it was also a very popular ramen shop with some of the most delicious tasting noodles as well!! Here you can choose the spice level for 2 different spices and for each I went with the DEVIL LEVEL!! How do you think I took it? xD |
Fast Food Chains in Japan
"Why would I come to Japan just to eat fast food....?" Trust me, you'll be surprised ;)
McDonalds
|
Shrimp Burgers, Teriyaki Chicken Burgers, FRIED CHICKEN....AND A GIGA Big Mac?! These items are all sold in Mcdonalds in Japan; it's like a whole different menu! They even have corn as a side and tea as a drink option.... One particular thing is the portion size for Mcdonalds in Japan is definitely a lot smaller so I had to get a few burgers to fill me up ;) |
KFC
|
Did you know that KFC is the official Christmas meal in Japan? YES its so wacky KFC is THE DINNER to get to celebrate this popular holiday!
I went to go see what the hype is about that they definitely have menu items on here that's not in US - my favorite being the teriyaki glazed "Wafu" Chicken sandwich! Definitely come check out the KFC in Japan to see how the taste it different than from US! |
7-11
|
One of the most beloved chains in Japan! Japan is filled with conveniences stores where you can grab a quick lunch, snack, or drink!
You can also find so much different snacks here and a lot of different hot foods prepared and ready to go! I made a trip to one of the biggest 7-11 I could find and got a massive haul of food! Other well known conveniece stores in Japan is Lawson or Family Mart which you should definitely visit as well if you get the chance! |
MUST VISIT RESTAURANT IN JAPAN - Ginza Steak
|
This is by no means a sponsored placements - it's legit my recommendation of something you MUST try in Japan. Why?? BECAUSE ALL YOU CAN EAT A6 WAGYU BEEF!!!
At a very reasonable price of $100 you are treated to one of the highest quality meat, service, and ambience. They have a 'course menu' with one of the 'course' being the AYCE a5 wagyu beef - and let me tell you it was SO WORTH the money and soooo DELICIOUS! If you are a steak lover - MUST. COME. HERE. |
Hotel Capsule experience
|
Japanese people love minimalist stuff - these newly designed hotel capsules literally is like introvert heaven....or claustrophobic nightmare LOL i probably would never try this again but it was a fun experience - this particular capsule i stayed in is women only with a shared osen (bath) and lounge area - inside the capsule are chargers, light, fan control settings
If you're looking for a cheap place to stay this is good too - averages about $50/night |
